Whole Foods Market Kahala
What is something UNIQUE about your company?
We are so much more than just a grocery store! We offer a wide variety of catering platters, as well as cakes and desserts, beverages (including kegs), flowers, gift baskets, and even a FREE personal shopping service.
How did you get started in ?weddings and can you provide a little history about your company?
Back in 1980, we started out with one small store in Austin, Texas. Today, we’re the world’s leader in natural and organic foods, with 455 stores in North America and the United Kingdom, including three stores in Hawaii.
What is ONE thing you REALLY want brides and grooms to know about you?
Our catering options are a natural extension of our in-store offerings, all of which conform to the same quality standards: no artificial colors, flavors, sweeteners, or preservatives, and no partially hydrogenated fats or oils. Our meats are raised with no added hormones or antibiotics and are given all vegetarian feed. We are happy to accommodate a wide variety of special diets – everything from accommodating allergies to vegan/vegetarian needs.
What is the average/range price point for your services?
Our suggested menus range from $8.50/person for a cocktail party to $21/person for an elegant dinner buffet. However, all of our items are available a la carte, so you can pick and choose the perfect menu for your taste and budget.
Tell us about your Family:
Our Kāhala location is one big family of 300+ team members who are all passionate about surprising, delighting, and nourishing our wonderful customers!
Name three things that you LOVE.
1) Offering the highest quality natural and organic products available. We appreciate and celebrate the difference natural and organic products can make in the quality of one's life.
2) Celebrating our local suppliers and products. We source from 400+ local suppliers and growers; about 43% of the produce we purchase is from local farms.
3) We serve and support our local and global communities. Our business is intimately tied to both the neighborhoods and the larger global community that we serve. In this spirit, we partner with several local organizations to donate leftover food to those who need it most.
What is one tip you would like to share with brides and grooms?
Don’t forget to feed yourself and your wedding party on the big day! It’s easy to overlook nourishment when you are getting dressed, waiting at the venue, and so forth. A few simple platters can go a long way in keeping everyone satisfied in the hours leading up to the ceremony.
